How to set up two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA is a fantastic way to ensure that your Hnry account is safe. This article walks through how to set up 2FA in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Navigate to 2FA in Settings

Once you have signed into your Hnry account, click on My account > Settings > Security > Two-Factor Authentication

Step 2: Toggle on 2FA

Turn on the 'Authenticator app (recommended)' toggle, you will then be prompted to input your password.

Step 3: Scan your unique QR code

*You will need an authenticator app for this step. If you don't currently have an Authenticator, go to the app store to download an Authenticator app on your phone. For example, Google Authenticator on iOS or Android.

Use your Authenticator app camera to scan your unique QR code or input the code shown on the screen.

Step 4: Verify your identity with your unique 6-digit code on login

You will now see your Hnry account within your Authenticator app and a changing 6 digit code. Within the allocated time, input your 6 digit code into the Hnry app and click 'verify'.

You have now successfully set up 2FA for your Hnry account! 🎉

Note: If you're using the Mobile app, please ensure you enable Biometrics on your next sign in. It's a quick and easy way to not only improve your sign in experience, but increase your overall account security!
